Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) Lexia Evaluation Report on KS1 Struggling Readers:

‘Children offered Lexia made the equivalent of two additional months’ progress in reading, on average, compared to other children. These results have a high security rating’

In addition, subgroup analysis on FSM pupils represented an effect of three months’ additional progress.

Lexia Core 5 Reading has had a significant impact on our school in a relatively short period of time. Staff received high quality training and use the system incredibly well to support their reading instruction. Pupils have responded extremely well to the interactive software and are using it daily as part of their in school reading experience and also accessing it at home.

The system was quick to set up, is incredibly user friendly and is having impact. As a leader in school, the monitoring of Lexia is simple and quick
Children are independent and motivated to use Lexia. Our pupils have really engaged with Lexia Core 5 and it really is making a difference.
