“Before joining LexiaUK, I spent 11 years teaching English in secondary schools, where I was also a curriculum and pastoral lead. I saw first-hand the challenges struggling readers face and how those barriers can affect everything they do in school. That’s why the mission of “Literacy for All” means so much to me.
In my role now, I get to work with schools across the country, supporting teachers and leaders to champion reading and celebrate their pupils’ progress. The best part of my job is knowing that, together, we’re helping every student gain the skills they need to succeed and develop a lifelong love of reading.
I feel fortunate to collaborate with colleagues from many different backgrounds, including a number who have worked across primary and secondary phases. They are experts in their field but still share the same core value: improving outcomes for every pupil, regardless of their starting point.”
