It saves educators crucial planning time, supports targeted teaching and helps schools to close literacy gaps so that every pupil can thrive as a confident reader.
Proven effective in developing reading skills
A recent EEF efficacy study found that Year 2 pupils using Lexia for a minimum of 10 hours over two terms made +1 month of additional reading progress overall, with FSM pupils making +2 months.
Following the efficacy study, the Education Endowment Foundation added Lexia Core5 Reading to its Promising Programmes list, recognising its potential to positively impact pupil outcomes when implemented effectively.
A subsequent large-scale EEF effectiveness study found +2 months of additional reading progress in as little as 12 weeks, including +2 months for disadvantaged pupils, providing further evidence of Lexia Core5 Reading’s impact in real-world school settings.

Independent student-driven learning
Pupils build essential reading and literacy skills independently through an engaging personalised learning path that adapts to their needs. This means that every pupil can progress at their own pace and teachers are alerted through real-time reports and notifications only when more targeted support is needed.
Ongoing data to drive instructional priorities
Replacing the burden of traditional monitoring and testing, real-time performance data is collected as learners work independently in the online activities of Lexia’s instructional programmes and available to educators via the myLexia™ portal.
Resources for face-to-face instruction
Teachers have access to a wide range of printable resources for both face-to-face teaching and independent student practice. Guided by real-time pupil data, Lexia recommends tailored materials for individual or group instruction that are designed to fit seamlessly into everyday classroom routines.
