Web Enabled & Self Hosted Reading Software

To assist in teaching children to read, Lexia Reading Software is available as both a web-based or self-hosted solution.

Our reading software delivery options provide access to the most flexible, easy-to-use software covering phonics, vocabulary, fluency and comprehension - the all essential elements of teaching reading.

Web-Enabled

Lexia Reading™ is a powerful technology solution that brings together Lexia’s three flagship reading products:  Early Reading, Foundation Reading, and Strategies for Older Students on the student workstation and a browser-based view for educators.  As well as usage in school, teachers may allow students to use the program from home.  This offers much more flexibility than the self hosted version.

MyLexia™ Admin is the browser-based view that allows teachers to see Lexia Reading software data for: their classes; support services to see data for their schools; and clusters of schools to see group data.  Reports are simple to use and are excellent for planning teacher led activities.  They can also be used for IEP’s, informing parents on progress and Value-Added evidence.

MyLexia™ Admin provides instructional content in the form of Lexia Lessons™ to enhance the teacher's ability to use Lexia Reading as a component of Wave 2 and Wave 33 intervention strategies.  Teachers can extend reading skills practice by printing out Lexia Skill Builders™ for their students to use during literacy lessons or as homework.

Lexia has recently introduced the Auto Placement feature, which allows large groups of students to be levelled at the correct point in the program.  This is achieved by the student independently taking a short user-friendly assessment.

Networked / Standalone (Self Hosted)

For those who wish to host their own data, Lexia’s Reading products (V4) are available as network or standalone options.  The admin system allows teachers to see data on individual, class or school progress.  Results can be used for planning, IEPS and demonstrating progression and Value-Added.

Network and Standalone versions are available on disc.
